I do want to try and be finished before month end though because I want to start posting weekly again without being tied to a prompt The descriptions in these collective posts will also be shortened so I’ll only be stating the techniques and the polishes/stamping plates used.

#31DC2015: Rainbow Nails aka Where the hell is my pot of gold??

Hi lovelies! Aaaah, how I want to be witty and funny tonight but alas, I am exhausted! So how about I do this post, go shower and then snuggle into my viking man's back? I like this idea!

#31DC2015: Rainbow Nails

This prompt slayed me! SLAYED! I really thought it was going to be easy but I swear every single idea I had just turned out disastrous! 3 manis later and on the brink of quitting, I settled for this.

I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When this was dry, I went in with my fan brush and the following polishes to create my "rainbow": China Glaze Spontaneous, China Glaze Starboard, Nubar Competition Red, Tip Top Nail Chic Banana Split and Sinful Colors Endless Blue.

I'm actually kinda sad that I struggled so much with this prompt because I was really looking forward to it and I pondered over it for so long. But I also think that was my problem. I overthought it. But so we learn and grow!

#31DC2015: Metallic aka Sugary Metal

Hi lovelies! I'm posting! Oh yeah! I'm winning! Oh yeah! I could do this all night! Oh yeah! Ok rather not because someone just picked up a pan! Oh yeah!

#31DC2015: Metallic

Yeah, I'm going to be honest...metallic made me its biatch! I had a pretty bad ass idea for this prompt until I realized "Oh yeah, certain chrome and metallic polishes are BRUSH STROKEY AS FRAK!". So I called it a night. After work today though I was pretty psyched! I remembered I have a pretty killer silver chrome-ish polish and some colors I've been wanting to pair with silver for a while now so hence this mani was born.

This is a very basic mani. I started out with 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Addict Aluminum as my base. I then went in with Tip Top Nail Chic Peach Crisp and Tip Top Nail Chic Cha Cha Cha to make the sugar spun strings.

Is this metallic enough? IS THIS METAL ENOUGH?? *head bangs hair to mad guitar riff*

Lots of mad love...

#31DC2015: Violet aka OH MY GLOB!

Haaaa! It's still Sunday in South Africa so I can still post my violet nails! Talk about nailing it! Let's jump straight into it shall we?

#31DC2015: Violet

So I am a huuuuge Adventure Time fan! Yes I'm an "adult", yes it is a cartoon and yes I am turning 26 in a couple weeks but you know what? I don't care! I will always embrace my inner child. So in honor of that, I give you one of my favorite Adventure Time characters...Lumpy Space Princess.

I started out with 2 coats of OPI Grape...Set...Match on all my nails. On my ring and index finger I stuck on star studs that I painted with Tip Top Nail Chic Sun Kissed and then I top coated them with Seche Vite Top Coat...BIG MISTAKE by the way. Now my stars look all lumpy and melted but anyhoo! For my ring finger I painted the word with my striping brush and Essence Love Is In The Air. Lastly on my middle finger I painted on my favorite princess using a nail art brush, Essence Love Is In The Air, WOW Nail Polish #393 and Morgan Taylor Invitation Only.

Like I said, I am soooo bummed I topcoated my ring and index finger. The studs would've been perfectly fine but yes, I had a "moment". Anyhoo, enjoy the last few hours of Sunday!

Lots of mad love...

#31DC2015: Orange aka Orange you glad I'm posting again??

Ok yes! My title is SUPER LAME but whatever mkay? Bad jokes and horrible puns are kind of my thing! AND DAMMIT, I SHALL EMBRACE IT!

Anyhoo, on to le good stuff...

#31DC2015: Orange

So I might have been dying to try Ikat nails for quite some time now but when it comes to actually doing my nails, I completely forget about it! So what better time than the #31DC2015 right? I'm not going to describe in detail how I did it but if you want to do Ikat nails you can follow this very easy tutorial by Kayla Shevonne.

For my base I used China Glaze Recycle. For my Ikat pattern I used OPI In My Back Pocket (light orange), Tip Top Nail Chic Solar Flare (darker orange) and my trusty WOW Nail Polish #393 for the black parts.

Easy peasy lemon squeezey! Oh and yay for killing an untried that's been sitting in my polish drawer for over a year! I will definitely be using you again, OPI In My Back Pocket!

Lots of made love...

#NailAnarchy - Christmas In July *PIC HEAVY!*

Hi the lovelies! Hmmm...can you smell that?? I hope it’s the smell of your morning breath still in bed because it is Saturday and you deserve to sleep in dammit! Anyhoo, no long intro’s today because I have an epic post up today!

So...In January a bunch of girls from the Nail Anarchy group decided this whole Christmas only happening once a year thing just sucks. So we took Christmas into our own hands, decided to play Secret Santa with each other and BOOM! Christmas in July!

I pulled my favourite bok, Ordinary Misfit and was ecstatic because c'moooon! ORDINARY MISFIT!...it was short lived. Michelle, I love you but damn girl, you are hard to shop for and try and be original! Do you know that you already own like half the worlds polishes??? But with some snooping and her Elfster wishlist I pulled it off! YAY ME! Feel free to go check out her Secret Santa post HERE.

Now my Secret Santa turned out to be acidicice and maaaan, did she do gooooooood! I mean like REAL GOOD! *happy squeals* High 5’s all around for Heather! *throws confetti* So, shall I show you??

Such bleachy neon goodness!

SPARKLES! Sparkles EVERYWHERE!

MOTHERFRAKKING TARDIS! TAAAAAAARDIS! *spazz spazz spazz*

Dat splatter pattern though!

OH MY GLOB! This stamper is AMAZING! AMAAAAAAZING!

In my box was the following beauties:
-  Body Scrub (sorry, forgot to take a photo and can’t remember the name. It’s in my shower! LOL)
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Lime Time
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Peach Soda
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Strawberry Pop
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Milkyway
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Diva Glam
-  Tip Top Nail Chic Sparkle Queen
-  LA Girl Sputter
-  Griffynstor Temporary Tardis tattoos & nail tattoos
-  Stamping Plate (From Born Pretty Store)
-  Iridescent rhinestones (From Born Pretty Store)
-  Squishy double sided stamper & scrapers (from Born Pretty Store)
-  CANDY!!!! (Sorry again! Basically inhaled when I opened my package)

She did so good right?? And man, I am going ape crap about the squishy stamper! It is such a game changer! It actually goes into my cuticle line! That has never happened before! *faints* Thank you so so much H! You are a SUPER STAR!

I can’t leave you without a mani right? So here is a Christmas In July-esque mani I did.

I started out by laying down 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Diva Glam. When this was dry I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-323 for the snowflake image and Mundo de Unas 68 Sky Blue.

Again, a HUUUUGE thank you to Heather! Tons of hugs and pokes!

Lots of mad love...

#PPSAnailchallenge - Pink aka "FAN BRUSH ALL THE NAILS!"

Hi there lovelies...you schmexy beasts you! I am finally posting again. I’m sorry I dropped you in the PPSA Nail Challenge but thanks to some unfortunate things I was pulled out very early in the challenge. Not only did I have the mother of all nail breaks which funnily enough I found a solution around but I’ll tell you all about that in my next post, but I got bronchitis! You know what that means right?? I can finally use this meme and IT IS LEGIT!

So I decided to go on with the challenge anyway and finish it! BECAUSE I CAN!!! BOOOOOM!

Pink

I didn’t have anything in particular that inspired me for this mani other than I was purely just looking for another excuse to use my fan brush. So let’s get on with it, shall we?

I started out by laying down 2 coats of my ol’ faithful Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Next, I went in with my nail art fan brush and made random strokes from my cuticles towards the tip of my nails using China Glaze Make An Entrance, Tip Top Nail Chic Melting Marshmallow and WOW Nail Polish #393. Easy peasy lemon squeazies!

This mani felt very...okay to me. Not bad but not WOW! Still kind of pretty though. My favourite nail was the middle finger nail. The others I went a little brush crazy but yeah, crazy is what crazy does! Oh, I also mattified my nails afterwards with China Glaze Matte Magic just for funsies. *cue INXS* Mattify, mattify me! HEY! ...ANYHOO! I actually preferred the glossy version but sharing the matt version with you guys anyway.

Lots of mad love...

#PPSAnailchallenge - Sugar Spun aka "Neon in the nuuuude!"

Hi there lovelies! Heck, it is Wednesday and I am posting my third post for the #PPSAnailchallenge so basically I am posting my first post for Week 2. Last week I posted both mani’s on the Sunday...I don’t know about you guys but in Thea’s book that is improvement! HELLA improvement! Can I pleeeeease get a whoop whoop??

Sugar Spun

You guys! I was actually excited about this prompt! It’s not a type of art I do a lot because let’s be honest, it’s pretty damn tedious. But I love the effect! And it’s actually relaxing. Also, whoever came up with technique...frak dude, respect! Talk about thinking out of the box...or bottle in this case. Anyhoo, so I also love nude polishes and neons together but I don’t think I’ve ever done a combo like that. So I thought, why not now?? So let’s get neony naked!

I started out by laying down 2 coats of Essence Color & Go Dare It Nude. When this was dry I made my strings using Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine on all my fingers except for my ring finger. On my ring finger I simply added a stud that I colored in using Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine.

You guys! Seriously?? Why the frak is it so hard to capture neons accurately?? It looked so epic in real life! I want to nude and neon everything now but dammit, I apparently lack decent camera skills. I shall conquer it though! LIKE A BOSS!

Lots of mad love...
