#31DC2017: 2 .Orange

So we got past day one, people! Heck, it's the most I've blogged in over a year so I am pretty stoked, knowhatimsaying? #31DC2017 make you blog real good, guuuurl!

I'm going to jump straight into today's prompt because it's Saturday and let's be honest, you have better places to be, you social butterflies you! *cries alone in a corner*

2. Orange:

For my base I started out with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor Funny Business and then a coat of China Glaze Pick Me Up Purple. I then made stamping decals with Mundo De Unas White, OPI In My Back Pocket & Born Pretty Store plate BP-73.

I kinda love how the purple base makes the orange pop! And let me tell you, if you want good purples, whatever spectrum it may be, Morgan Taylor is where it is at! Morgan Taylor Funny Business...I love you! *motorboats all my purple polishes*

#31DC2015: Orange aka Orange you glad I'm posting again??

Ok yes! My title is SUPER LAME but whatever mkay? Bad jokes and horrible puns are kind of my thing! AND DAMMIT, I SHALL EMBRACE IT!

Anyhoo, on to le good stuff...

#31DC2015: Orange

So I might have been dying to try Ikat nails for quite some time now but when it comes to actually doing my nails, I completely forget about it! So what better time than the #31DC2015 right? I'm not going to describe in detail how I did it but if you want to do Ikat nails you can follow this very easy tutorial by Kayla Shevonne.

For my base I used China Glaze Recycle. For my Ikat pattern I used OPI In My Back Pocket (light orange), Tip Top Nail Chic Solar Flare (darker orange) and my trusty WOW Nail Polish #393 for the black parts.

Easy peasy lemon squeezey! Oh and yay for killing an untried that's been sitting in my polish drawer for over a year! I will definitely be using you again, OPI In My Back Pocket!

#31DC2014 - Day 2: Orange Nails aka You don't want to walk on this sunshine!

Hi lovelies! Are you guys ready for some orangey goodness because that is what is on the list for Day 2 of the 31 Day Challenge! LET’S DOOOOOOOO THIS!

Day 2: Orange Nails 

I was a little lost with this prompt but 1 thing I knew for sure was that I definitely wanted to use Tip Top Nail Chic Solar Flare. It is so vibrant and beautiful and I always feel happy when I use it...and then the name hit me. Solar flare...the sun...awesome orange inspiration! And so, this mani was born.

I started out by laying down 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Sun Kissed on all my nails for a base color. When this was dry I layed down a coat of Tip Top Nail Chic Solar Flare on the nails and using a crumpled up piece of saran wrap, I blotched all over each nail individually to create the suns surface. To finish it off, I made flame patterns using WOW Nail Polish #393 and a thin nail art brush on all the nails and just filled them in. 

I might be really loving this mani! Did my sun come out looking like hot rod flames? Pshh, yeah! Am I even mad? Nope, not at all! I did though realize my idea wasn’t so unique as I found this post by Varnished Valkyrie and because I do follow them (no, the plural isn’t a typo) I’m sure that I have seen this before but might’ve forgotten about it so I feel they deserve full props and credit!
