Did you sing my title?? Come ooooon! It's epic!...okay, I suck. I know. But just go with it okay? Let me not jabber on about WEAK ASS titles though and rather jump straight into the stuff you are actually here to see!
#31DC2015: Yellow
I haven't done a skittlette in AGES so when the inspiration hit me for this many, I was kind of over the moon! And epic thing is the inspiration literally just hit me out of the blue...or yellow?? Suck it Google! I didn't need you this time!
I started out by laying down 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Sun Kissed over all my nails. On my ring finger I added a coat of Seche Vite Top Coat and added a bunch of different black rhinestones and studs which I painted black using WOW Nail Polish #393. On my middle finger I put on some sellotape to make the triangular shape, added a thick coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White over the gap and pulled the tape off immediately. Then I laid down a few mini chevron vinyls by NailVinyls over the white and filled in the spaces with WOW Nail Polish #393. Lastly I just laid down a coat of L.A. Girl Spotted over the yellow on my pinky and index finger.
Again, super simple but I actually seriously dig this mani! I have a thing for black and yellow and badly want to make my lounge yellow, white and black but the husband wont bite. I'll get him there one day though! Tee hee hee!
Lots of mad love...

#PPSAnailchallenge - Sugar Spun aka "Neon in the nuuuude!"
Hi there lovelies! Heck, it is Wednesday and I am posting my third post for the #PPSAnailchallenge so basically I am posting my first post for Week 2. Last week I posted both mani’s on the Sunday...I don’t know about you guys but in Thea’s book that is improvement! HELLA improvement! Can I pleeeeease get a whoop whoop??
Sugar Spun
You guys! I was actually excited about this prompt! It’s not a type of art I do a lot because let’s be honest, it’s pretty damn tedious. But I love the effect! And it’s actually relaxing. Also, whoever came up with technique...frak dude, respect! Talk about thinking out of the box...or bottle in this case. Anyhoo, so I also love nude polishes and neons together but I don’t think I’ve ever done a combo like that. So I thought, why not now?? So let’s get neony naked!
I started out by laying down 2 coats of Essence Color & Go Dare It Nude. When this was dry I made my strings using Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine on all my fingers except for my ring finger. On my ring finger I simply added a stud that I colored in using Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine.
You guys! Seriously?? Why the frak is it so hard to capture neons accurately?? It looked so epic in real life! I want to nude and neon everything now but dammit, I apparently lack decent camera skills. I shall conquer it though! LIKE A BOSS!

#31DC2014 - Day 3: Yellow Nails aka SUCH NEON! MUCH AMAZE!
Hiiiiiiiiii
guyyyyyyys! Day 3...honestly, I can’t remember when last I posted this much in
one week but I am not stopping now! Let’s get on to some crazy yellow goodness.
Day 3: Yellow Nails
Yellow isn’t
really a color that is high up in my favourites list. In my whole collection
of polishes I think I currently have 3 yellows but when I saw this prompt, I
knew immediately which one I wanted to use. Not only was it one of my many
untrieds, but it’s a neon! A sweltering face melting NEON! Yes please!
I started
out by laying down 3 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine on my pinky
and index finger, and 2 coats of WOW
Nail Polish #393 on my middle and ring finger. I then made a stamping decal
with Bundle Monster plate BM-305, WOW Nail Polish #393, Tip Top Nail
Chic Walking On Sunshine and Tip Top Nail Chic Grape Dance [TUTORIAL forstamping decals HERE] and layed them down over my ring and middle finger. To
finish off the look, I made some of my gold studs black with WOW Nail Polish #393 and placed them on my
pinky and index finger.
Of course my camera hates neons and
completely spazzed out when I tried to photograph this mani, but you guys get
the idea. The little lightning bolt
patterns of BM-305 keeps making me want to yell out “Shazaaaaam!” and even
though Captain Marvel (aka Shazam) possibly is my least favourite DC characters, that leaves me with
happy fuzzy feels so I am going to take that as a WIN!
Lots of mad love...

Saran Wrap and Love...
Hi lovelies! Have you guys ever had those moments where you feel totally
amped and you don’t know why?? I am feeling like that at the moment!
I’m busy recovering from a nasty cold that I had since last week but I
am feeling energetic! I think it might be because I found a map online
that shows me all the Barnstorming locations in Saints Row 3. WIN!
Aaaaaand now I can’t decide what is more sad...the fact that a location
map for helicopter stunts on a video game gets me excited or that I’m
still playing Saints Row 3 (I CAN’T AFFORD SAINTS ROW 4 AT THE MOMENT
OKAY!!!! Don’t judge me! *sobs*)
Anyhoo, you guys are here for mani’s. I’m focused, I swear!
Today’s mani has something in it that I usually do not like but man, I genuinely like how it brought everything together! I am a silver girl. Always have, always will be. But when I was finished with this mani I thought it needed something. Something to just tie everything nicely together. That’s when my GOLD studs caught my eye...My first initial reaction was “No...Nope...not going to happen!” but after much mental deliberation I caved and tried it. I am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised!
I started by laying down a base of Essence Galactic Glam. When this was dry I used the saran wrap method and Tip Top Nail Chic Cha Cha Cha to create the effect over the base color. To finish everything off, I added a generous amount of top coat and placed my golden studs down on my ring and middle finger.
I know this mani isn’t the most hardcore or artistically challenging but I love how it came out! I love the marble slab like effect of the saran wrap method and those little studs really stole my heart for a little while. Good on you gold, good on you!

Minty Marble
Hi there lovelies! We’re halfway through this lovely, wet, rainy week
and man, am I looking forward to the weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I love
my job but I need sleep so bad! I’m yawning as I’m typing this post
out! It’s ridiculous! And it’s been miserable and rainy here since last
week Friday. Weather like this should not be spent in an office, people!
I need to be in bed with a book!
But anyhoo, mid-week medium rant (or moan fest) over. Let’s get on to "Le good stuff" shall we?
As you guys know, I have an unashamedly big love for water marbling. I am constantly looking for ways to bring it into my mani’s and what better way is there than with a skittlelette mani?
I started by laying down a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White on my middle finger and water marbled using Sinful Colors Island Coral and China Glaze Re-fresh Mint. On my ring finger I layed down 2 coats of Sinful Colors Island Coral and simply took 2 gold heart shaped studs and colored them using China Glaze Re-fresh Mint. To finish off the look, I added 2 coats of L.A. Girl Green Sand on my thumb, index finger and pinky.
I really loved how this came out! It’s the type of mani I could easily wear for 2 days AND I got to scratch my water marbling itch, even if it was only slighty. Hmmm...now to ponder on my next water marble mani without making you guys sick of them!
If you would like me to swatch any of the colors you saw in today’s post, please let me know via email or drop me a comment below. More than willing to oblige!

#MTVnailChallenge: 4. Green & Flowers
Hello there lovelies! Is anyone else also having such awesome weather at the moment? It is cloudy but very warm here in Pretoria and man, I wish it would just rain! I really, REALLY like rain! The sound, the smell, the feel...it's awesome!
Anyhoo, nails to show and a #MTVnailChallenge to keep up with!
4. Green & Flowers
I would be lying if I say this was an easy topic! Okay, it was an easy topic but I really struggled
with ideas for some reason. I'm not a big flower person but I love green so I badly wanted to nail this topic! This was my third and easiest attempt but I'm genuinely happy with the results!
Nail Polishes used:
Tools/Other Used:
I started by laying down 2 thickish coats of China Glaze Starboard on my thumb, middle and ring finger and 2 coats of WOW Nail Polish #393 on my pinky and index finger. When this was dry, I went in with my dotting tool and WOW Nail Polish #393 and made easy little flower shapes on my ring, middle and thumb nail. In the middle of the flowers I just put a small blob of clear thickish nail polish and placed the studs into place. Too round everything off, I added a coat of OPI Fresh Frog Of Bel Air on my index finger and pinky.
Like I said, I was quite chuffed with the results! It feels very “me”. Plus I got to add studs! STUDS! So yes, I struggled quite a bit but it was worth it. Oh, and random much, but how awesome is OPI Fresh Frog Of Bel Air's name??
Please remember to go check out all the other lovely ladies who are taking part. They are working their butts off and it will totally be worth your time:
