Hey sex-ba-boms! (20 points to you if you get that reference!) Do I seem a little bit more chirpy than last week?? Oh it is because I absolutely am! Between you and me, shark week came a knocking last week...yeah, so during that time life can seem to suck in general and I feel super emo! I even kinda had a small cry because I was a day or 2 late and my stomach was feeling uncomfortable. So I had this full on fight with myself that I don’t want to be pregnant but if I am I promise I won’t resent the baby and I’ll bring it up being awesome and geeky and and and...Needless to say, I wasn’t pregnant! Don’t get me wrong, I do want kids one day but I’m also smart enough to know me and my husband can’t afford it right now. Like not at all! So for now WHOOOO! I just wish my uterus would rather just send me a notification like “Hey! You’re not preggies! Look at you taking you birth control like a responsible little adult! Kudos dude! Totes laters till next month...hopefully! *high five*”
So enough about that bit of TMI for today, let’s get to nails! I’ll be honest, there was absolutely no inspiration behind these nails and I just felt like using some brain searing neons and black. SO I DID EXACTLY THAT! #WINNING
I started out with a coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White as my base color. When this was dry I added a coat of Nubar Palau Coral over one half of my index & pinky and China Glaze I’m With The Lifeguard over the other half. I then took a small piece that I tore off a makeup sponge and dapped WOW Nail Polish #393 down the middle. For my ring and middle finger I made a stamping decal using the above mentioned colors and Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-423.
Am I the only one feeling kind of a rasta vibe with this mani?? It is totally unintentional but hey, I’m not complaining! Also, my camera hates neons! Such a pity because this mani SCREAMED in real life AND I LOVED IT!
Lots of mad love...

#NailAnarchy - Christmas In July *PIC HEAVY!*
Hi the lovelies! Hmmm...can you smell that?? I hope it’s the smell of your morning breath still in bed because it is Saturday and you deserve to sleep in dammit! Anyhoo, no long intro’s today because I have an epic post up today!
So...In
January a bunch of girls from the Nail Anarchy group decided this whole
Christmas only happening once a year thing just sucks. So we took Christmas
into our own hands, decided to play Secret Santa with each other and BOOM!
Christmas in July!
I pulled my
favourite bok, Ordinary Misfit and was ecstatic because c'moooon! ORDINARY
MISFIT!...it was short lived. Michelle, I love you but damn girl, you are hard
to shop for and try and be original! Do you know that you already own like half
the worlds polishes??? But with some snooping and her Elfster wishlist I pulled
it off! YAY ME! Feel free to go check out her Secret Santa post HERE.
Now my
Secret Santa turned out to be acidicice and maaaan, did she do gooooooood! I
mean like REAL GOOD! *happy squeals* High 5’s all around for Heather! *throws
confetti* So, shall I show you??
Such bleachy neon goodness!
SPARKLES! Sparkles EVERYWHERE!
MOTHERFRAKKING TARDIS! TAAAAAAARDIS! *spazz spazz spazz*
Dat splatter pattern though!
OH MY GLOB! This stamper is AMAZING! AMAAAAAAZING!
In my box
was the following beauties:
- Body Scrub (sorry, forgot to take
a photo and can’t remember the name. It’s in my shower! LOL)
- Tip Top Nail Chic Lime Time
- Tip Top Nail Chic Peach Soda
- Tip Top Nail Chic Strawberry Pop
- Tip Top Nail Chic Milkyway
- Tip Top Nail Chic Diva Glam
- Tip Top Nail Chic Sparkle Queen
- LA Girl Sputter
- Griffynstor Temporary Tardis
tattoos & nail tattoos
- Stamping Plate (From Born Pretty
Store)
- Iridescent rhinestones (From Born Pretty Store)
- Squishy double sided stamper &
scrapers (from Born Pretty Store)
- CANDY!!!! (Sorry again! Basically
inhaled when I opened my package)
She did so
good right?? And man, I am going ape crap about the squishy stamper! It is such
a game changer! It actually goes into my cuticle line! That has never happened
before! *faints* Thank you so so much H! You are a SUPER STAR!
I can’t
leave you without a mani right? So here is a Christmas In July-esque mani I
did.
I started
out by laying down 2 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Diva Glam. When this was dry I
used Bundle Monster Plate BM-323 for the snowflake image and Mundo de Unas 68
Sky Blue.
Lots of mad love...

#31DC2014 - Day 18: Half Moons...Ripply blue nails
Hi there lovelies! I am one of little words today and wont bore you with
a silly little intro or rant. I’m blaming it on my epic mental
tiredness at the moment...I’m saaaawry! But you guys are here for nails
right? Let’s get to it then shall we?
Day 18: Halfmoons
Aaaaah, one of the very few prompts I was not looking forward to. Half moons plainly said, just looks weird on me. I don’t know if it’s the shape of my cuticles or my short nail beds but like I said, it looks weird! So after I scouted the net a bit and consulted with my adviser aka Ordinary Misfit, I decided to reach for my stamping plates once again.
I started out by laying down 2 coats of Zoya Song on all my nails except for my ring finger. When this was dry, I stamped on my cuticle area with Bundle Monster Plate BM-426 and Sinful Colors Snow Me White. On my ring finger I layed down 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and with the same Bundle Monster stamp, went in and stamped randomly all over the nail with Zoya Song.
Even if this is a halfmoon mani, I really like how it came out! The stamping kind of reminds me of water ripple and man, I love love LOVE Zoya Song! But that being said, I do love blue so I might be a teensy bit biased!

#31DC2014 - Day 16: Geometric aka ...Do I need a aka?? Nah!
Hi lovelies! Okay, is it just Pretoria or did your seasons also not get the memo about making a slowish “transition” into the next season?? Just over 2 weeks ago we were freezing our butts off and now we are complaining about how hot it is! No pleasing us, is there?? Now if only we can get some rain so this damn static will get the hell out! IT HURTS DAMMIT!
Day 16: Geometric Print
I once again
did not have too much inspiration for this post except for I knowing that I had
to use Morgan Taylor Hot Hot Tamale. She has been sitting in my polish case
since 1 September and she has been calling me! I swear it! So after digging
around in my stamping plates, I found a geometric-esque pattern that gave me
happy feels and went to town.
I started by
laying down 2 coats of WOW Nail Polish #393 on all my nails, except for my ring
finger. I then placed stamping decals that I made using WOW Nail Polish #393,
Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Morgan Taylor Hot Hot Tamale and Bundle Monster
Plate BM-414, on my nails. On my ring and index finger I cut the decals with a
straight line and covered only certain sections of my nail. I also lined the
area around my cuticle with WOW Nail Polish #393 and a thin are brush. Lastly on
my ring finger I layed down 2 coats of Morgan Taylor Hot Hot Tamale and placed
little triangles on the nail that I made with polish blobs that I cut down.
Really
camera?? Of all the times I want you to make a polish shine in all her glory
you go and spazz out?? Just because she is bright and luscious! *gasp* Shame on
you! Other than that I think it looks quite cute! Not too hard to do and still
fun! Oh, and have you noticed my nails are shorter? Stupid tear that turned
into a full on break on my index finger. But luckily I like shorter nails!
Lots of mad love...

#31DC2014 - Day 15: Delicate Print aka HA! Thea and Delicate! Funny!
Day 15: Delicate Print
Hmmm...me and this prompt. It scared me a tiny bit! Do I look like someone who can do or does delicate?? Never! I’M SO HARDCO...oooh look! Bunnies! Okay, so maybe I’m not insanely hardcore but I’m not a big “delicate” fan. So I did what every sensible non delicate flower would do and reached for my stamping kit.
I started by laying down 2 coats of Essence Dare It Nude. When this was dry I layed down some striping tape in a chevron pattern over all my nails and filled it in with Essence Prom-Berry, making sure I pulled the tape off immediately. Finally, I just blocked off the small chevron section of my nail with sticky tape and stamped a flower pattern with Essence Prom-Berry and Bundle Monster Plate BM-211.
This mani is insanely simple but I am liking it quite a bit! Sometimes a bit of simplicity is all that is really needed. In hindsight though, I should’ve made the chevron’s a little bit thinner but it still looks kinda cool.
Lots of mad love...

#31DC2014 - Day 7: Black & White Nails aka Adventure Time, Come on bring your...Gunter?
Hi lovelies!
Heck, it is a stunning STUNNING day outside. Spring has definitely sprung with
a little extra heat but that’s okay! Winter has apparently left the building!
*crowd applauds*
Day 7: Black & White Nails
I’ll be
honest, this prompt didn’t bring tons of inspiration to me because everything I
wanted to do felt like I was copying someone else. One thing I definitely knew
though was that I had to do an Adventure Time mani somewhere along the line of
this challenge and what more perfect opportunity to bring in one of my favourite
characters? I give you the I-love-breaking-bottles quirky cute Gunter the penguin.

I started by
laying down 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White on all my nails except for
my pinky. On my pinky I layed down a coat of WOW Nail Polish #393. I then stamped some shattered glass over my pinky
and index finger using Bundle Monster plate BM-208, Sinful Colors Snow Me
White and WOW Nail Polish #393. On my ring finger I wrote in the sound that
Gunter makes with a thin nail art brush (and a very steady hand!). Finally, on
my middle finger I made Gunters body and face using a thin nail art brush and WOW Nail Polish #393. For the beak I used Tip Top Nail Chic Sun Kissed.
Aaaaah, I am so chuffed with how this came
out! I just want to paint little Gunter’s on everything! Sure, my stamping isn’t
perfect but personally I think everything came very nicely together. And I
finally did an Adventure Time mani! Happy warm fuzzy FEEEELS!
Wenk wenk...

#31DC2014 - Day 3: Yellow Nails aka SUCH NEON! MUCH AMAZE!
Hiiiiiiiiii
guyyyyyyys! Day 3...honestly, I can’t remember when last I posted this much in
one week but I am not stopping now! Let’s get on to some crazy yellow goodness.
Day 3: Yellow Nails
Yellow isn’t
really a color that is high up in my favourites list. In my whole collection
of polishes I think I currently have 3 yellows but when I saw this prompt, I
knew immediately which one I wanted to use. Not only was it one of my many
untrieds, but it’s a neon! A sweltering face melting NEON! Yes please!
I started
out by laying down 3 coats of Tip Top Nail Chic Walking On Sunshine on my pinky
and index finger, and 2 coats of WOW
Nail Polish #393 on my middle and ring finger. I then made a stamping decal
with Bundle Monster plate BM-305, WOW Nail Polish #393, Tip Top Nail
Chic Walking On Sunshine and Tip Top Nail Chic Grape Dance [TUTORIAL forstamping decals HERE] and layed them down over my ring and middle finger. To
finish off the look, I made some of my gold studs black with WOW Nail Polish #393 and placed them on my
pinky and index finger.
Of course my camera hates neons and
completely spazzed out when I tried to photograph this mani, but you guys get
the idea. The little lightning bolt
patterns of BM-305 keeps making me want to yell out “Shazaaaaam!” and even
though Captain Marvel (aka Shazam) possibly is my least favourite DC characters, that leaves me with
happy fuzzy feels so I am going to take that as a WIN!
Lots of mad love...

Twinsie...Thursday? Kind of!
Good morning lovelies! It is almost spring and I am psyyyyyyyyyched! It
is getting warmer (all though the weather fore cast says we are in for 1
more cold spell! Grrrrrrrr!), new, fresh smells are popping out all
over the place and I am just generally happy! Also, yesterday was
EXACTLY 7 months till my wedding day you guys! Too much excitement! We
have a crap load to do but it’s going to be worth it! EXCITED!!!! ...can
you guys tell I’m in a really good mood??
Now on to the nails! NAILS! *cues mad guitar riff* NAAAAAILS! Twinsie nails to be precise. I am lucky enough today to have a kind of twinsie post with the crazy talented Ordinary Misfit. Last week she showed me a mani she wanted to do and I told her I did the exact same one a little while ago so we decided, let’s be Twinsies! Whoooo! Our mani’s are inspired by THIS post by The Nail Polish Project so a HUGE SHOUT OUT to her!
I started out by laying down 2 coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White on all my nails. When this was completely dry, I placed striping tape on all my nails to make triangular type of shapes and filled in the spaces using China Glaze Grape Pop, China Glaze Recycle and China Glaze Flyin’ High, pulling off the striping tape immediately after all the areas were filled. When this was completely dry, I stamped on two of the filled-in spaces per nail using Bundle Monster plates BM-201, BM-319 and BM-422. I did this by taping off the sections I didn’t want to fill and stamped like I normally would.
I really liked how this came out! It made me a little sad that my camera decided to stuff up China Glaze Flyin’ High and made it look more blue than it actually is, and it isn’t nearly as killer as the original mani by The Nail Polish Project was but I like it none the less! Now...get your butts over to Ordinary Misfit to see her awesome attempt and give her some love while you’re at it. She deserves every bit!

Flowery Animal Print
Hi lovelies! Today something shocking is happening...I do
not have a lot to say! True story! Feeling a bit meh at the moment so not going
to bore you with the details. Let’s rather get to the nail art!
I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and
stamped over it using Bundle Monster Plate BM-223 and WOW Nail Polish #393. Using a dotting tool I made simple flower shapes with OPI A Oui Bit Of Red and China Glaze
Recycle.
Much like this post
today this mani is sweet and simple! I did love the look though. For some
reason, animal print patterns as a base for other designs work pretty damn
well!
PS...Remember to go
vote tomorrow, South African loves! GO GO GO!

Sleepy Easter Bunny
Hi there lovelies! Hmmm...smell that?? No, it’s not teen spirit but it’s
close though! It’s the smell of a LONG WEEKEND! WHOOOO! What are my
plans for the weekend, you ask? Nothing! Besides visiting with my
sister, I plan on sleeping, sleeping and SLEEPING! Oh, and some nail
art! ‘Cause, priorities!
Today I have some Easter nail art for you. I do have a pastel mani lined up for tomorrow but I thought let’s do something different and go for a darker Easter mani.
I started by laying down 2 coats of Colours Limited Speckle Enamel Jupiter on all my nails except for my ring finger. When this was dry, I stamped over those nails using WOW Nail Polish #393 and Bundle Monster Plate BM-423. On my ring finger I started with a base of WOW Nail Polish #393. Then using a thin nail art brush (or my trusty liquid eyeliner brush) and Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Tip Top Nail Chic Sherbet Angel and WOW Nail Polish #393, I made the sleepy bunny to finish it off.
I am really chuffed with how my bunny came out! It’s not perfect but I really like it! The mani also has a little bit more edge but isn’t too hard for the season.
I hope everybody has an amazing long weekend! For those on the road traveling to far destinations, travel safely! For those staying at home, also keep it safe.
