Glittery Animal Print Nail Art

Hi there lovelies! It might not be Monday and this is probably old news for everybody but HEY, we have a shorter working week! Whooooo! Hooray for women and the day that was created to celebrate our brilliance! *happy dance*...don't judge me, you also love public holidays! Unless you're a business owner and this affects your cash flow, I'm really sorry. But I still frakking love public holidays! Especially Women's Day...

Onto the shinies though...

In my love for nail art, I ran into a little bit of a dilemma. I adore glitter polishes! Smexy, chunky, fully packed mix glitter polishes! The more bling-tastic, the better! But I love nail art. And for some reason I find it really hard to “art” glitter polishes up! Okay, not really that hard but it's like they are already so pretty and busy on their own that I don't want to mess with them. Yet me inner child screams out “Do it! DO IT!”.

So I found my compromise. “Wear your ghetto-tastic glitter Thea, just keep it simple. Black and white, plain stamping, skittles and skittlette's etc. Sometimes less is more. And you can still go 'Oooh, shiny!' when they hit the sun and burn out your retinas with their glorious sparkle!”...yes, I talk to myself. It's freakishly fantastic! *cue creepy psycho music*

Anyhoo...

So today I am posting a simple mani I did a few weeks ago with a one of my all-time favourite glitter polishes and an easy animal print.

Nail Polishes used:

  • WOW Nail Polish #393
  • China Glaze Liquid Crystal

Tools Used:

  • Small thin nail art brush

Classy mad skills "Macro" shot

I started off by laying down 2 coats of China Glaze Liquid Crystal. When this was dry I made a a simple black zebra / tiger print using the small thin nail art brush and WOW Nail Polish #393.

I'll be honest, I loved this look! And China Glaze Liquid Crystal is just awesome! Bright blue that looks almost icy in low light but then you see it in brighter light and this lovely pinkish shine just pops out! Its also packed with a crazy amount of mixed color glitters so yes, I am very happy whenever I wear this color.

If you would like me to swatch any of the colours you saw in today’s post, please let me know via email or drop me a comment below. More than willing to oblige!

Lots of mad love
