#31DC2017: 5. Blue

So I’ve been sitting here for quite a while now, thinking on how to start this post because let’s be honest, my life isn’t always that exciting! Do I talk about the weather? Do I ask you how your day went? Do I think of some funny story about fandoms I love? Out of all the endless options, I was pretty stumped. But then it hit me!…Just write am intro about how you have nothing to write an intro about! BOOM! I am a genius! I just stole 30 seconds of your life and I don’t even feel guilty! THE POWER OF THE INTERNET! MHUUUHAHAHAHAHAHA

So anyway…on to today’s prompt of the #31DC2017 we go!

5. Blue

Today’s mani was supposed to be inspired by something, but man, it just did not work like I wanted it too! So I am not going to say what it was inspired by because I am going to try and use it later on in the challenge again! AHA! 2 flies, one smack and whatnot…

I started by laying down 2 coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (the OG one) as my base. I then blended a bit of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue & China Glaze Man Hunt with a fan brush and then after taking off the excess, just lightly brushed it over the base. Next, I added a tiny bit of acetone to a blob of China Glaze First Mate and just made some light strokes randomly over everything. Lastly using a super small headed dotting tool & Sinful Colors Snow Me White, I added some specks.

Like I said, there was actual inspiration behind this mani but it didn’t do the inspiration justice and the effect is really important to me! I’m HOPEFULLY going to try it again later on in this challenge, so keep an eye out for that.

Lots of mad love…

#PPSAnailchallenge - Pink aka "FAN BRUSH ALL THE NAILS!"

Hi there lovelies...you schmexy beasts you! I am finally posting again. I’m sorry I dropped you in the PPSA Nail Challenge but thanks to some unfortunate things I was pulled out very early in the challenge. Not only did I have the mother of all nail breaks which funnily enough I found a solution around but I’ll tell you all about that in my next post, but I got bronchitis! You know what that means right?? I can finally use this meme and IT IS LEGIT!

So I decided to go on with the challenge anyway and finish it! BECAUSE I CAN!!! BOOOOOM!

Pink

I didn’t have anything in particular that inspired me for this mani other than I was purely just looking for another excuse to use my fan brush. So let’s get on with it, shall we?

I started out by laying down 2 coats of my ol’ faithful Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Next, I went in with my nail art fan brush and made random strokes from my cuticles towards the tip of my nails using China Glaze Make An Entrance, Tip Top Nail Chic Melting Marshmallow and WOW Nail Polish #393. Easy peasy lemon squeazies!

This mani felt very...okay to me. Not bad but not WOW! Still kind of pretty though. My favourite nail was the middle finger nail. The others I went a little brush crazy but yeah, crazy is what crazy does! Oh, I also mattified my nails afterwards with China Glaze Matte Magic just for funsies. *cue INXS* Mattify, mattify me! HEY! ...ANYHOO! I actually preferred the glossy version but sharing the matt version with you guys anyway.

Lots of mad love...

Pink Camo Nails...kind of.

Hi lovelies! How is everybody doing? Hope your Monday and Tuesday weren’t too hectic and your week started off nice and chilled! Before we get into today’s mani, I just want to apologize in advance. I have been overloaded with spam lately! It may not seem like that much but getting 10 – 15 emails a day just about the most random nonsense on earth can get really frustrating! This has now forced me to add a verification process to my comments section. I didn’t want to add this process because I want commenting to be as effortless as possible but unfortunately desperate times call for a few changes here and there! Plus I know you guys are freaking awesome so you won’t mind!

Today’s mani is an extremely simple and easy one! It also almost didn’t make it because the results weren’t exactly how I wanted it to come out but I decided to post it anyway. Never underestimate the underdog, even if it’s only a failed mani!

I started by laying down 2 coats of Essence Free Hugs. Then using Tip Top Nail Chic Sherbet Angel, Tip Top Nail Chic Super Trooper, Essence Free Hugs and China Glaze Make An Entrance I added random brushstrokes over the base, making sure there is not a lot of polish left on the brush.

Like I said, this mani did not turn out exactly the way I wanted but it wasn't bad enough for the reject pile. It kind of reminded me of pink camouflage. And man, who knew a light pink could scream so much! I had so many people tell me how much Essence Free Hugs truly stands out between the different shades. I like it! Definitely putting it on my toes next!

If you would like me to swatch any of the colors you saw in today’s post, please let me know via email or drop me a comment below. More than willing to oblige!

Lots of mad love...
